Valley Veterinary Clinic are here to help
you!
Meet "Smelly!"
Smelly is one of the two resident cats of Cumberland Valley Veterinary Clinic.
He was brought to the clinic by the Washington County SPCA after being hit
by a car and found by the side of the road.
Smelly came to the clinic in shock, had
a concussion, and his jaw was broken in four
places. We treated him for shock and waited
to see if Smelly would make it through the
night. He pulled through! Next, we addressed
the broken jaw. The first surgery, which
wired his jaw together, went very well. However,
the blood supply to the bone was compromised
and Smelly needed a second surgery. A quarter
of his lower jaw needed to be removed.
Fortunately, Smelly's wonderful attitude
led to a complete recovery and he now has
a permanent residence at our clinic! He is
a wonderful cat and brightens everyone's
day.
